On behalf of Tall Ships Victoria, we would like to thank all of the volunteers who over the two days, guided 500 people around Williamstown’s 148 year old Alfred Graving Dock. The guideshad at some time been employed in the dockyard, recounting many fascinating experiences of working in and around the Graving Dock.The event was only made possible by the support of Hobsons Bay City Council, BAE Systems, Royal Yacht Club of Victoria, National Trust, Port of Williamstown Action Group and Tall Ships Victoria.This was a unique opportunity for visitors, as the Dock has rarely been open to the public, having been a secure defence shipyard for many years.
