Enterprize

Melbourne’s tall ship Enterprize is a replica of the 1830 topsail schooner. Launched in 1997, the ship is sailed by a volunteer crew, offering an authentic 19th-century sailing experience for to all Victorians.

An acceleration of the development program on North Wharf, Docklands, has resulted in Development Victoria advising Enterprize, together with Alma Doepel and ST Wattle that they must relocate their operations earlier than anticipated. Notice was given to relocate by 30 June 2025, but further negotiations and public pressure have resulted in an extension of six months. To date, no alternative berths in Docklands have been offered.

For details visit Enterprize.

Alma Doepel

The ship is based at her restoration workshop at Shed 2 on North Wharf, Docklands, where final fit-out work is well underway. New rigging, engines, tanks, accommodation and a vast array of equipment are being installed. Another significant milestone was passed in October 2025 when Alma relocated, under her own power, from North Wharf to the Melbourne Boat Show site as the photograph shows.
