The ship returned to Melbourne on 21 January 2009 after an 8-day passage from Port Macquarie.

On 19th October 2021, after spending over 7 years on her purpose built barge to overhaul the hull, the ship was lifted from the barge and lowered into the water for the next phase of restoration.

The ship is now moored outside Shed 2, North Wharf Road, Victoria Harbour, to continue her major refit before returning to sail training duties.
